Our video literally gave me goose bumps! Well done! It is always a pleasure to work with you and your team!!

Okay, David is indeed my brother. But that's not why I am recommending him. I hired Jolly Road to take a book I'd written on photography, translate that book into six scripts and then produce those scripts from pre-pro to post. David and his team did it all with extreme professionalism and a lot of creative energy and talent. What's key to me is that Jolly Road made this ridiculously easy for me, which is what I needed in order for this to happen. You can see the videos online if you like - and see the great responses they've gotten from folks. I thank David and Jolly Road for all of that. And I recommend him with full confidence.
John Shelton | Procter & Gamble
OMG--I'm freakin jumpin up and down----OUTSTANDING!!! GREAT job! I’m really impressed with the final product. I can’t thank you enough for putting the “love” into this project.
Lyn Horton | Market Research Account Executive
Loved the short movies…and all the other things you have done. JRP, so creative, I am in awe
Emily Collier Sengenberger | Market Research Strategic Brand Consultant
When the video is finished it should create emotion and everyone in the room watching it needs to feel it in their toes-if they don’t, you haven’t hired Jolly Road and you are in trouble for squandering your clients money.
Dana Donley Morton | Market Research Consultant
Love it! I love all the artistry and timing with the graphics, photos and music!! Really great!

There are few filmmakers with David's skill and sensibilities. He has the ability to write, produce, shoot, and edit a production and turn it around quickly without giving up any quality. I recommend Jolly Road and encourage anyone to hire David for the production of high caliber video projects.

Favorite Time of Day: Twilight. Just before sunrise or sunset. A time of infinite possibilities.
Favorite Dessert: Sweet Rose Creamery’s Dark Chocolate & Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream with dark chocolate chips on top. Oh my goodness!
When not in the office or on set, you’ll find me mountain biking, surfing, or lately trying to make my 10-month-old son giggle.

One word my friends use to describe me: Loyal. Your secret is safe with me.
What is your favorite place to relax? My back porch with a glass of wine or an old fashioned.
What do you like to do with your free time? My wife and I used to go wine tasting, but these days I enjoy my time with my baby girl and doing home renovations.
Fun fact: While living in NY I worked for Barney Greengrass, a classic old school deli, with a tons of character and characters. Many great life lessons learned there.
I fell in love with filmmaking when I was 10 years old after "borrowing" my parents video camera to make my first short movie one weekend. I was instantly hooked. With a passion for storytelling and a love for technology, this is the perfect path for me. Although I couldn't imagine doing anything else with my life, if I was forced to choose another career I would want to be a sea lion trainer. Or Batman.
Hometown? Born and raised in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Favorite movie? It’s hard to choose just one but when I need some excitement in my life, I always go for Guy Ritchie’s, “Snatch”. I highly recommend it.
Favorite time of day? I can be a bit of a night owl but there’s nothing like that golden hour of the day. I am always chasing those sunsets.
Favorite place to relax? When I can get a few days off, I usually head up to Lake Geneva or Wrigley Field.
Favorite dessert? Let’s just say I have a sweet tooth.
What do you like to do with your free time? I really enjoy an active lifestyle. Biking, running, hammocks, camping, fishing, skiing. If I have time off, I’m usually outside.
If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be? Definitely Bill Murray.
Fun fact: I once met Depeche Mode in an elevator but couldn’t name a single song they did.
One word would your friends use to describe you? Dependable
Best assets as a filmmaker? Fast on his feet
Favorite movie? Layer Cake
Favorite time of day? Sunrise, c’mon golden hour!
Favorite place to relax? My bike.
Favorite dessert? Cookies. I prefer hot out of the oven soft baked chocolate chip cookies but in reality there’s never been a cookie I’ve turned down.
What do you like to do with your free time? If I’m not working I want to be out on my bike. Mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, there’s not enough time in one’s lifespan to ride every road and trail but I’m doing my best in the time that I’ve got.
If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be? Ira Glass from This American Life.
Fun Facts: Finished the Leadville 100 Mountain Bike Race in under 11 hours and I maybe obsess a little too much about my Delta Medallion status.
Jesse is a cinematographer that loves to figure out interesting a creative ways to tell a story. He grew up on the east coast and moved to Colorado in 2009 for the mountains and adventure. His upbringing in micro-budget cinema allows him to find solutions in challenging situations with limited resources.
Favorite mMovie? It’s impossible for me to pick to just one.
What is your favorite time of day? Golden Hour, Duh.

I’m a simple guy, fun and outgoing, I love to laugh, laugh at myself, and I enjoy interacting with others. My nickname is Fozzy (for Fozzy the Bear), given to me at a bowling alley when I was 14 yrs old by a young lady who thought I looked like Fozzy the Bear. My friends got a kick out of it and it stuck. Funny thing is, some people think it's my birth name which I get a kick out of.

Filmmaker & Editor
Ryan has been obsessed with film since he got a Lego Studios set as a young kid. Working in stop motion, he created all sorts of movies -- even using little Lego Spielbergs! Now living in LA, Ryan's moved on to working with humans. He continues to approach each project with creativity and passion and never forgets the tedious lessons he learned with his Legos -- like how Harry Potter and R2D2 have great on-screen chemistry.
Jason is a independent filmmaker and video producer who’s films have played around the world. He loves to travel, especially for video work, and also loves the film scene in his home town of San Francisco. He’s originally from Buffalo, NY and gets back whenever he can.
When he’s not making videos for clients, he’s producing indie movies and trying to write his next film. This requires mass consumption of dark roast coffee and snacking on tasty food… he even made a feature film with food as a main character.
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, but I’ve lived all over — New York, San Francisco, and (for about a year) Paris, France. I love all the different aspects of filmmaking because it combines so many disciplines involving craft, art, science and technology: storytelling, photography, lighting, shooting and editing. I love making all kinds of videos, especially profiles, and music documentaries.
In my spare time, I play a lot of guitar (blues, rockabilly, and roots music), and love to cook.
I’d say my strongest asset as a filmmaker is I that I know how to wear a lot hats, literally and figuratively.
Favorite movie? There’s no way to choose a favorite, so here are my top three: 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Seven Samurai, andThe 400 Blows.
Favorite place to relax? My favorite place of all to relax is Paris, France. Closer to home, it’s usually a quiet, sandy place — either a beach or the desert.
Favorite dessert? Probably lemon meringue pie.
Elie has a cinematographer's eye, a Lebanese sense of humor, and a passion for American mafia movies. He's a work-hard, play hard-kind of guy, so when he's not working long hours on the set, he's by the BBQ on Lake Merritt grilling up kofta kebab for family and friends. He loves to travel with his family and has worked all over the world, from the deserts of Qatar to Ningxia, China. He has two young boys who he's training as his PAs.
Dalton is a Cinematographer and Photographer with a passion for the unscripted world. His signature filming style is to have real life going on in the background of a project. When he's not filming he supports the film industry as a judge at film festivals and also by setting up local film screenings in his community. In addition, him and his wife are the proud owners of Hollywood Java which is a Pop-up Coffee Bar that gives filmmakers and creatives as a whole a place to work while waiting on their next big film gig.
